Jhavon Kornegay, LCSW
Jhavon studied at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and received her professional degree from Touro College Graduate School of Social Work. Jhavon’s specialties include assisting clients who are living with anxiety, depression, trauma and stressor related disorders, grief, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Jhavon has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy. Growing up in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, Jhavon knew there was a need for high-quality mental health services in underserved communities. Therefore, she focuses her clinical practice and research on providing high-quality services and evidence-based interventions to these communities. She treats all clients with dignity, respect, and unconditional positive regard irrespective of socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, race, or religion.
Jhavon has a true passion for learning and is committed to expanding her knowledge through regular continuing education, and she hopes that The Wellness Sanctuary NYC can help clients move from a place of surviving to one of thriving.
